    Step 1.


    For full consideration for admission and scholarships:

    • Apply as early as possible
    • Fully complete the application
    • Johnson & Wales is test optional and encourages submission of all test scores.
    • Any information submitted after your initial application will not be considered for additional scholarships. 

    Students are encouraged to apply online for quicker processing. Paper applications are also accepted.

  • Step 2.


    Submit your transcripts, diplomas and/or certifications from all high school/post-secondary schools so we can render an admissions decision.

    Submit proof of graduation (official final transcripts): Without such verification, the student will not be allowed to register for the current term or continue enrollment and will be in jeopardy of losing his or her academic status with the university as well as his or her immigration status. A loss of immigration status will require your immediate departure from the U.S.

  • Step 3.


    Transcripts/marksheets, test scores and bank statements must be ORIGINALS or true CERTIFIED COPIES. (Unofficial photocopies will not be accepted.)

    All documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified (notarized) translation.

    1. Proof of English proficiency: Submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores.
    2. A completed and signed International Student Financial Declaration Form (50K PDF).
    3. Certified bank statement or government sponsorship letter verifying financial support for one academic year (within 3 months of submitting your application)
    4. Copy of biographical section of your valid passport
  • Special Programs

    Advanced Standing

    To apply for the Advanced Standing program you’ll need to:


    1. Be accepted to the Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts program.
    2. Call campus admissions link to admissions.jwu.edu/contact_us to set up an exam date.
    3. Complete this supplemental application (45K PDF) and bring with you to your exam along with two letters of recommendation and the exam fee.

    To apply for the Garnish Your Degree program, apply for admission as a transfer student at:
